APPLY for Department of Health’s Core Grant Funding Scheme – UK

The Department of Health is now accepting applications for its Core Grant Funding Scheme. This scheme is designed to support voluntary and community sector organisations working towards key departmental strategic and policy objectives in Northern Ireland.
Funding Objective
The grant aims to assist organisations that contribute to:
Public Health Initiatives: Including the Live Well Initiative.
Reform of Adult Social Care
Reform of Children’s Social Care: With a focus on supporting families.
Mental Health Strategy (2021-2031)
Support for Adults and Children with Disabilities
Cancer Strategy for Northern Ireland (2022-2032)
Funding Information
Grant Amount: £5,000 to £100,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, organisations must:
1. Benefit the Northern Ireland Population: Operate within Northern Ireland or allocate funds for activities benefiting Northern Ireland residents.
2. Be Independent and Not-for-Profit: Organisations must have a constitution outlining their aims, objectives, and procedures.
3. Have Governance and Financial Controls: Organisations must demonstrate financial viability through published accounts or credible financial plans.
4. Comply with Legislative Requirements: Including employment, safeguarding, health and safety, discrimination, data protection, and equality of opportunity.
Note: Applications from individuals, statutory bodies, commercial organisations, academic institutions, trade unions, or political parties will not be considered. Grants linked to political activity are also excluded.
